“Sharing Session #8” (the first seven took place last year) will be focused on INCLUSION, WELCOME & HOSPITALITY. Everyone is invited to join us on one of the following dates—there is no need to register:

SATURDAY, MAY 25, 2024 - 10:00 to 11:30 AM
St. Ursula Church Hall
The “sharing sessions” will include a time for prayer and reflection, listening and sharing with others, and offering feedback, recommendations and action items for the Pastoral Council and Family Staff.
I am also hopeful that those who attend the sharing sessions would also step forward and get involved sharing their talents and gifts more to make our family of parishes even more welcoming and inclusive.
Here are the questions we will reflect on during this particular sharing session:
1) How can we be more welcoming and hospitable to those who come to any of our five churches for Mass, funerals, weddings and other celebrations/events?
2) How can we minister and support the homebound, seniors and those in our long-term care homes?
3) How can we reach out to lapsed or divorced Catholics making sure they feel welcome?
4) How can we support the homeless and those who are struggling with addictions or mental illness?
5) How can we support and welcome those on the fringes or feel unwelcome in the Church?
There will be other “sharing sessions” scheduled as described in our ACTION PLAN as we continue to work together as one family of parishes seeking to form disciples who reach out to all. I am very excited and looking forward to the opportunities to discern together where the Lord is calling us.
