First Reconciliation and First Communion

Our Chatham Catholic Family of Parishes invites children who are seven years of age and in grade 2 or up, who have been baptized or have made a profession of faith in the Roman Catholic Church to register for preparation of their First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion.

Preparation for these sacraments is a collaborative effort which involves the family, the parish and your child’s Catholic school.  You are the primary teachers of the faith for your child. The sacraments are celebrations of the parish community, therefore your child’s sacramental preparation is a parish-based, not a school event.  It is expected that if you choose to have your child receive their sacraments within the Church, your family will be an active part of our parish community.  Your child’s school will enhance this preparation through the classroom religious education curriculum, Growing in Faith Growing in Christ.

Registration for 2024-2025 First Reconciliation and First Communion is now closed.
